  This wine probably won't get any better from here. Drinking pretty well but maybe a bit past its prime. But don't get me wrong, this is not meant to be a bad review. It was a really enjoyable bottle of wine, and it looks like the best score that I have given this wine in 3 tries. Some of the fruit is starting to go, but overall the wine is very smooth and not too over the top like a lot of California zins can be. Everything is coming together in nice harmony. 2 bottles left, will definitely want to use those up in the next few months.

  Last bottle of Lambert Zin after quitting their wine club due to lack luster offerings of their other varietals and blends. They should stick to Zins. This 06 had a wonderful balance of fruit and spice. Medium tannins and a lasting finish made it very pleasurable to drink. Dark berry, plum and a little smokiness on the palate. Very pricey though. There are much better values to be had if looking for good Sonoma Zins (Seghesio).
