Heavy tobacco front, harsh tannins that overpowered the fruit.

Rustic in a good way. Earthy and maybe a tad sweet (stawberry). Consumed over two days.
The real deal -- justifying the 2007 Rhone hype. Dark, deep and nuanced with great fruit that will age well.
The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Chateau Lay): Notes of dirt and strawberry, overall very subtle and delicate. Tastes slightly better than it smells, but it's a bit hollow and thin.
Solid qpr. Refreshing watermelon and strawberry.
