Was a little afraid I might find this forgotten bottle (my only one) dead on arrival tonight, but it's drinking surprisingly well.
Dense, opaque coloring with ruby to garnet edges. Lovely aromatics of dark fruits, graphite, fennel, walnuts, and lifted floral notes like lavender and lilac. Medium (+) body with a luscious mouthfeel, fantastic texture, medium acid, medium (+) finish, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, chocolate, black olive, licorice, black tea, orange peel, and minerals. Tannins a little grippy post meal, but great with a steak and standalone afterwards too. This is really nice actually. 👌

Dark fruitbomb on the nose which undertones of older fruit. Tones of vanille, ceder (tabac) and hints of a savoury component-herbs. IN the mouth quite sweet, yet has a nice acidity-tannines background to pull the wine into balance. After opening kinda hot, but after decant for 2 hours that heat evaporated and tannin/alcohol blended a bit nicer. Nose was really nice, in mouth a tad dissapointing because of the monotone fruity midpalet which ended in a med finish of tabacco

Showed very well... no specific descriptors noted. Noticeable but integrated new French oak. Luxury wine style, but well made. Drink now.

Lovely, especially for the $13 I paid for it
