Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • This Niagara Chardonnay shows some class and sophistication, but the heavy oak component and the warmth of the vintage (2005 was very hot in Ontario) get the upper hand. Caramel, buttered popcorn and rich baked apple flavours dominate, with relatively low acidity. It's actually better than it sounds, but not a wine I'd go back to, given the quality of other vintages of Chardonnay from this producer.
