  • Brookie and I drank this bottle last night, undecanted, over the course of 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I had a baked potato with horse radish, cold beets, peas, some sort of vegetarian loaf. This bottle is drinking very well at the moment, but maybe could have used some decanting. Very little sediment, beautiful nose and velvety mid-palate. Elegant, almost unnoticeable tannins. Black licorice, creosote, perhaps a leathery element . . . very dark and a bit heavy, but very delicious. 45 second finish. If you like heavily extracted Napa style wine, this is probably going to be up your alley. Pretty good value for the quality. I have a few more bottles and would try one again in a 2-3 years, maybe with some decanting. No signs or aging. Heavy glass bottle, deep punt.
