Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • A bright, youthful medium ruby, with just faint bricking at the rim. Noses like the 1995 version. Lifted fruit. Obviously very cool-climate material. Coffee bean. French barrique is perfectly judged. The is no shortage of red fruit, but it is rather lean and the high acidity reinforces the idea of marginal ripeness. Yet, despite this ascetic style, it is one that appeals to me due to the sheer purity of the fruit. Very good plus and should still handle some cellaring.

  • A very interesting wine with bright acidity, and stued plum and current flavors. This wine shows its age well and brings black tea, grand marnier-orangeness and a long bright finish. Medium bodied, moderate alc.
Probably at the height of its game now if not a tad over the hill.
    Very good Quality.
