  • Lots of grapefruit on the nose, razor sharp acidity, limestone and citrus. Nothing too complex but very tasty.

  • Love it when "Old Producers" come out with new wines! Almost completely sold out at the Winery...they had a case or so left, but weren't tasting any. Of course, had to get a few! Opening the first tonight...VERY pale yellow, slight green hugh in color. Intense crispness of green apple, lemon zest, pear, frozen melon ball, mineral stones. Not as "New Zealand" with the cat pee and grapefruit...but it does remind you a little. Very intense refreshness, bright and zesty, yet well balanced. Shows a little jalapeno, white honey drizzled over grapefruit, fresh herbs. Doesn't show any real "Heitz" characteristics...except maybe QUALITY! Now, if we can just get them to sell it for around $14....
