Not my vibe at all. A Tavel-ish deep pink in the glass which is cool - but the nose is slightly muddy with raspberry, liquorice and toasty wood notes. It falls apart on the palate for me - slightly gloopy and sweet-sour, lacking drive, tension and freshness. Just not my thing.

Pale salmon pink color. Developing, pronounced aromas of brioche, chestnut, honey, strawberry, ripe apple. Dry, creamy mousse, high acid, med body, med alcohol, long finish, no tannins.
Not much further note as I drank this at a restaurant, but I remember this was very decent, especially for the price. Tentatively giving 92. Hoping to revisit.

Tom and Joe visit Dan's: This wine was shy at refrigerator temperature. As it warmed in the glass, it became bold, toasty and the strawberry red fruit was expressive. I would like to try this again.

PnP, chilled. This poured to a clear, deep rose color in the glass. Only a touch of strawberry on the nose. The mousse was somewhat delicate. The medium bodied palate had tastes of strawberry and cherry, with touches of citrus. The wine has medium acidity, and a medium finish. All in all, a very nice 100% pinot noir champagne - well worth the $42. The back label states "Date of disgorgement etched into the glass at the base of the bottle". However, look as hard as I might, I couldn't find it on my bottle. There was a marking on the cork - G14. Could this be an indicator of July 2014? Does anyone know???

Smells kinda beefy in terms of power. Very vinous and kinda macho.
