Some bubbles after pouring. A little pungency and minerality in the nose, but mostly citrus fruit. A bit sweet on the palate as expected from a kabinett level wine, but good balancing acidity. Grapefruit the predominant fruit flavor.

(Emrich-Schonleber Bacchus Kabinett) This was a wild wine that split the crowd but I loved it. Bacchus is a cross between Silvaner/Riesling and Muller Thurgau. It is like a fruit cocktail wine. Tons of citrus fruit. Very juicy and ripe with lots of complexity derived from the fruit. Little or no mineral but there is some as this is Schonleber we are talking about. Could use a touch more acid but a fun summer quaffer and a great deal.
