Very enjoyable with a chef's tasting sinner. Great with scallops, as well as butterfish and Cornish hen. Good acidity, enough body to hold up to heartier dishes. This is a great all around go to white to have around.

The colour is full for a Alvarinho wine with only some green shades invading the palid gold. Ultra complex nose with white pruns, passion fruit, really clean floral note and a huge mineral background. Full bodied with no loose edges it reproduces perfectly the notes of the nose: clean fruit, flowers and huge mineral breath. The acidity is perfect and carries the wine into a long well made final. This is a really good wine which can age effortlessly for many years and gain even more complexity. A must....

Jamie Goode's 50 Great Portuguese Wines 2009 (Manchester): Lactic melony fruit on the nose. Lovely palate - really nice and round with a good weight and richness. But hardly a typical vinho verde.
