An alluring nose of peaches, cream, and marzipan is followed by a palate that is round and rich, and a little flabby. Flavors of peaches and roasted nuts come through on the soft and creamy mouthfeel. What this wine lacks in acidity it makes up for in sheer deliciousness. This is great as a cocktail wine, but keep it away from food.

Dude. I really need to increase my stash of under-$15, crack-open-after-everyone-is-already-drunk wines so that I stop drunkenly opening nicer bottles like this. The note I scribbled for this one: "this tastes good." Very informative. What an a-hole.

Summer dinner with all four parents (Paul & Kelli's deck: Settle, WA): Big pretty nose of peaches and flowers. On the palate, the fruit and flowers move to the background and are replaced with marzipan and cream. The richness of this wine paired nicely with the cream-of-cauliflower soup, but more acidity would have been welcome. Also, the finish was a touch hot, but not too bad, considering this is a 15.2% Viognier. I absolutely loved this wine in the tasting room and bought three bottles; now I'm not so sure.
