Hazy notes from 2 days ago. This didn't really have a lot of vatietal characteristics. A rich, viscous, wine, slightly off dry, but not really much other than weight on the palate. But there were some slight tropical fruit notes, but not a lot of the lychee fruit or rosewater notes one usually gets with a gewurtz. Solid but unspectacular wine (B/B+).

Vraiment sublime.

Hazy notes from 3 days ago. Nice gewutz here, slightly off-dry, but well balanced. Just had a bit too much of the 'soapy' note that this grape often has to be outstanding.

Clear dark green gold core of moderate+ intensity out to a thin watery rim. Wine appears youthful but the colour indicates hot climate or oak involvement. Clean nose - complex - of rose, cold cream, talc, honey, baby powder, strong floral and spice of moderate+ intensity. Some development showing. Off dry wine with rich mouth filling and viscous flavours of spice, honey, floral, mineral, grapefruit of moderate+ intensity. Moderate+ acidity (surprising!), moderate body and moderate alcohol (even though its 14% it's very well controlled). The finish is very long with characteristic Gewurztraminer bitterness (grapefruit rind). Very well made - delicious now but will age very well - all the elements are there for a moderate to long life.

Pleasant, still bit too much on sweeter style Alsace wine making for me.
