I thought this was rather rich and creamy for a Zin. It almost fells like they left some lees with the wine while it was settling in the tank or barrel. Also, this wine has been in the bottle a little while longer than typical for a value priced zin. The fruit has subdued a bit, not in your face. There is still that brambley red raspberry, strawberry and cherry fruit profile, in kind of a mellow way. Medium bodied. Tasty. The alcohol, acid and tannins are working in balanced harmony. Soft finish.

Needs to breathe overnight. But then becomes a very approachable Zin. Perfect summer BBQ wine.
