Wine Cellar - South of France (Wine Cellar): (Tasted Blind): Medium garnet colour. The nose has a strong mineral character (apparently this is a very typical note from Saint-Chinian) featuring ripe blackcurrant, stalky and herbaceous notes that almost edge towards greenness. Some stem inclusion is clearly going on, and the mid-palate is warm and fruity. The finish, though, feels greener and bitter; some felt it was dried out. However, I liked the freshness that contrasted with its warm southern Languedoc fruit.
