Part of a vertical at the winery, with pinots from 2001 - to the not yet released 2012. I thought this vintage was perhaps the weakest of the lot. Somewhat flat and one dimensional in comparison to the much better 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2007. Still a fine wine but the vertical revealed the significant variation in vintage quality. Very interesting.

A completely different experience from my last tasting of this wine. It didn't come off as a fruit bomb at all, although it was still a more modern extracted style of wine than I normally prefer. This afternoon for Easter dinner of roast leg of lamb, it was a very, very nice accompaniment, matching up well with the lamb. Also tasted it with some chocolate butter cream frosting our son had concocted for another occasion, and it was a spectacular match. Go figure! Medium+ body, red cherry and other fruits but, as mentioned above, a somewhat extracted style. But all was still in balance this time. Looking forward to visiting the winery in about three weeks when guests are visiting us.

Beautiful ruby color, long legs. A bit of barnyard when first opened, but it blew off after 30 minutes, morphing into earth and rich cherry aromas. Dense, more cherry jam and some forest floor and mushrooms. Classily well-made Dundee Pinot Noir, from an under-the-radar producer. Finish is quite long and generous. Caught my attention.

Silky, smooth, muted fruit -- an absolute home run of a wine.

Very fruit forward with intense flavors - blackberry, plum, but not offsetting flavors or tannins or acidity. A big fruit bomb.
