A true GSM (It even has the papal crossed keys above the Vacqueyras appellation), this fading beauty was probably never a perfect 10 to begin with, still, in old age it is savory, round and warm, if a bit short on the finish and thin on the depth of palate.
It remains nicely balanced and paired well with the traditional roast bird that accompanied it this evening.
Drink up if you have any - there is just not enough stuffing left to resolve anything further.
