Dinner at AC’s – A very tropical style chard, and not too much oak. A bit sweet and heavy handed this evening, but a tootie frootie treat for those liking big juicy chards.

licorice root and nutmeg warmth on the palate... very subdued melon rinds and skins (think the outside, not the green part)... a bit of mealy apple... great weight... long finish... but be prepared for it to be SUBTLE.
I've bought this bottle three times in the past year, and it's always been very restrained compared to my expectations of "California Chardonnay" even considering it's $40 to $50 price tag.

As described in previous posts, and juicy, not overly oaked, tropical chard.

Enjoyable. Little flabby but acid, tropical fruits and apple, with subtle oak make it tasty, sexy and fun.

Nice, sexy, lush but decent balance and refreshing. A California chard I really actually like, with the right food.
