This is going a little flat since last time. Otherwise, this still has some really interesting character with notes of dried flowers, honeysuckle and minerals. Medium finish, showing a little sweetness on the mid-palette. Still very enjoyable.

Nice floral nose with notes of honeysuckle. Nice minerality. A complex white with the Gewurtztraminer base. Now seems slightly sweet mid-palate and early on in the medium-length finish. A very nice wine.

Had this paired with Black bean soup at a wines of South America dinner at Classic Thyme in Westfield, NJ. Very interesting wine blend of 60% Gewurztraminer, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Moscato Blanco... Fresh crisp acidity balanced with a richness from the chard and maybe a hint of sweetness from the moscato. Red fruits maybe strawberry, and nice mouth-feel. Minimal if any oak, though I don't know for sure it tasted like they used stainless steel barrels...I thought this was a winner, and pretty tasty

I really enjoy this wine. 60% Gewurztraminer, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Moscato Bianco. This is not a sweet wine. The Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay combine for a wine with a nice solid balance with some added character. A very nice surprise from Uruguay. Highly recommended.

(Viņedo de los Vientos Estival, Uruguay) Viñedo de los Vientos, or “Wines of the Wind,” was founded by the iconoclastic Pablo Fallabrino in 1998, using a vineyard that had been in his Italian immigrant family since the 1920s. Rather than making wines that are fashionable, Fallabrino chooses to make wines that pique his imagination and creative senses. One example of his work is the unique Estival, made of 60% Gewürztraminer, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Moscato Bianco. This wine is fairly full-bodied, offering tons of exotic peach, ripe apricot, and pineapple aromas and notes of honeysuckle. With its crisp acidity, it’s delicious on its own or with seafood dishes and salads—a perfect picnic wine, showing the potential of this relatively unknown wine country. Hot Picks

Emerging Wine Regions (Princeton Wine Tasting Club) (Princeton): Light gewurz fruit on nose. A little off-dry. Slightly acid deficient. Not remarkable, but serviceable.
