  • Every one in a while, it is fun to drink an old wine. The cork on this bottle was a mess, and fell completely to pieces. However, once the cork problem was solved, this was a good example of a nicely aged wine. The tannins were largely gone. The alcohol was not present. What was left was smooth silky plum fruit, with a nice little finish. A very enjoyable quaff on a warm Saturday night with good friends.
