  • Served this blind, and Henrik was very good at guessing it. Silky, smooth, sweet with a very fresh fruit, strawberry galore, hittign tthe pinot-nerve. Drinking a point. People were guessing 1er Cru, I can understand why.

  • This time tasted vis-a-vis the Chambolle Fremières, and I actually prefer the Gevrey, more silky, more elegant, still lots of sous bois and fresh red berries. Very impressive for the level, the vintage is showing very well here.

  • Perfectly round, mature, yet very fresh indeed, vibrant Pinot-nerve, sweet fruit, sous bois, silke presence. 1er cru level, easily.

  • Last of these bought on release from PC for the insane price of $20. Consistent with my last btl 4 years ago. This is absolutely bang up delicious PC level (in village packaging) Gevrey. If anything, the purity of fruit and effusiveness of the nose seem more intense than previously! I am now sad I don't have more of these to see how long they will continue to sing. I really really enjoy this cuvee which i have also had in '04 (almost as good as the '02)

  • Dark red color, nose red berries with a little coaxing 1 1/2hr after open, no decant...for a 12yr old village Gevry, I'd have to say this was excellent, although decidedly better with food than as a standalone...

This is why I'm very comfortable going down mkt in excellent yes with good vintners, $20 btw
