  • very developed golden colour but so much freshness on the nose. Relatively subdued and delicate aromas; peach blossom, lime, gravel, hints of cloves and mineral richness. A honeyed feel adds weight and texture to the citrus, peachy fruit. This seriously lingers with gentle spice and baked green apples. A litle heat. This will last but not sure if it will get better.

Rockss and Fruit

(Knebel Winninger Hamm Spatlese Trocken) This really went through a large transformation over three days. Lovely complex nose with floral and spice elements. Also some dried honey, lavender and orange zest, Lovely. The palate is sappy and crisp with lovely levels of fruit. Pure fruit and very concentrated this has a long very mineral finish. On day one there is a serious mineral fireworks show but as the wine aerates the fruit comes into its own on the palate with lush pit and citrus fruits like peach and tangerine. Uncanny balance and power. Yet it is precise the whole way down. Needs a bit of time I would say but all in all the makings of an impressive wine.
