  My only bottle...popped and pour but struggled as the cork completely disintegrated on this one. Had me thinking this one was dead. However, it came to life nicely and had a nice flavor profile with black and blue fruit profile on the palate. Picked this up at auction a few years ago. Recommended if you can find it and I would likely drink up if I had any additional bottles. The winery closed a couple years ago from what I read.

  On opening, the '05 Charnu Cab displayed lovely bright red fruit flavors and a significant level of acidity. Tannins were fine and balanced. After about an hour in the decanter, the wine had broadened and darkened in character, revealing more Christmas spice, caramel, and espresso flavors. A very exciting first vintage from this winery, I'd hold this wine for a couple of more years and drink between 2010 and 2015.
