Full body color to the rim with a sweet nose of spice box and currants, entry is balanced with supple but round tannins, body is lush with layers of blackberry and maduro tobacco, finish is elegant and long.

an exceptionally well intregrated wine to be savored.....wonderful nose that accurately predicted the modest oak, fine tannins and pure palate pleasure..

Nose: Huge bouquet showing Black Berry, Cherry, Ripe Strawberry, Cedary Oak, Tar and some interesting floral notes. Quite complex and layered nose. Palate: Very full bodied, esp. next to the Clos du Marquis, with Dark Cherry, Ripe Berry and some Licorice and Cinnamon/Clove poking through. Long entry and full midpalate made this very fun to drink. There is a lot going on here. Finish: A touch of alcohol comes through, but it is a long grippy finish that shows the stuffing of this wine. Tanins need a long time to resolve.
Robbie Meyer is an up and coming force in Napa/Sonoma and he makes some very strong cabernets. This 2005 was a great effort and should continue to evolve very nicely.
