Agree with other notes. New world in that it is quite fruit forward, though not overblown. Nice fruit. Wowed me at first, but then it seemed to fatten out some. Biggest ding on it was that it had a relatively short finish. Nice surprise for a wine from NM.

Agree with Tomlandu's note. New World, but differs from most Cali Pinots, or even Oregon/Washington. Leaner and tarter, with less pronounced sweetness. Tastes like the high desert. Unique and pleasurable, I expect I'll be trying it again.

Not decanted. Deep garnet red color, nearly opaque. Brooding, rich nose of classic pinot aromas - beets, cherries, leaves - with some smoke and tar to tie things together. Equally rich on the palate. Ripe but not overripe nor jammy. Complete, with flavors of red fruits and a finish of tar and more smoke. A very pleasant surprise.
