The wine did age well, but not spectacular. Nice taste, but it didn't impress. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. The body is light/medium. The wine has low acidity.

I had the house to myself this weekend and was set to watch Kenneth Branagh’s Henry the V on DVD, and thought this might be a good match. Classic St.Estephe right out of the gate, with a ton of minerals and pencil shavings in the light to medium ruby color. Not surprisingly, minerals were abundant in the mouth, combined with a good dose of earth, light oak, and to borrow a Parker adjective “weedy cassis” seems an appropriate descriptor. Tannins are still surprisingly lively, but nicely off set by a plush, fruit filled finish. All in all, a very good showing from this 11 year old second label, and from a so so vintage no less. This is a style of wine that I can drink effortlessly, and did, as I finished off the bottle single handily with almost no effort. Very Good.
