Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Sweet and perfumed nose of candied apricot, citrus oil and gout de petrole. Deliciously unctuous with the same flavor profile as the nose against a slate-y base. Though soft and supple in a tongue coating way, this wine had a core of tingly energy that you could sense more than access directly. Seemed to be much sweeter on the second day (maybe that's just acid fade with air?). After an hour open, I would have guessed a spatlese pick. the Wurtzgarten strawberry signature was much more pronounced day 2 as well.
