We waited far too long to open this, but better late than never; still drinkable but is probably less enjoyable than it once was; alcohol 13.2%, #0272 out of 3,600 bottles produced; we received it on 10/22/2008, apparently available only through the Rubicon wine club; amber yellow, fast legs, nose of minerals, lychee, not vinturied, tasted at ca 15 degrees C; distinct notes of pineapple plus minerals, earth; medium finish; pair with fish with less oil like Alaskan halibut

Friends brought this over to share with our crab cakes. Initial nose of cotton candy, giving way after a few minutes to citrus peel. cvvhrn hit it dead on with the "Mellow palate of pink grapefruit and citrus" though I'm getting more yellow grapefruit in 2010. Still kind of a short one-dimensional finish with the grapefruit peel lingering on for 30 seconds or more. Interesting wine but I think if you have it on hand don't wait too much longer because it doesn't give a hint that it will be improving based on previously read notes. Nice refreshing wine for a summer day.

The 2007 Marsanne is focused and concentrated with the midpalate flavors of mango, pineapple and starfruit, yet possessing an unctuous texture and overtones of vanilla and honeysuckle. It is best enjoyed in its youth.

Pleasant floral nose with some pear/apple up front. Not much mid palate or lingering finish.
Was hoping for a bit more considering the price point.
