Impressive material that unfortunately seems to have been affected by the gout moisi terreux problem this year. The fruit is dense, black-complexioned, and robust in texture, one of the richer and most sturdy 2006s I have had. Unfortunately this is marred by an off-note that oscillates between vegetal flavors and dirty dishwater.

Very well balanced and excellent texture. Those are the best qualities, but this is quite good all around. Great fruit, though probably wouldn't have guessed Chambolle blind. A minor quibble, really. Now + 10 years.
