This wine exceeded all expectations tonite at Birchrunville Store Cafe with a veal loin in mushrooms cream sauce that was recommended by Clement at Bouchard. What a pairing. The wine was substantial, ready to drink, wonderful, and complete. Thanks for this opportunity brother.

Dark garnet with slight bricking around the edges. The wine took a while to reveal itself. Masculine and brooding aromas of black plums, black cherry, old shoe leather, game, soy and wet soil make up the nose. The medium boided palate is rather four-squared with bitter dark small berries, a heavy dose of game and leather and a touch of oak still noticeable on the finish.

Felt like I was owed a grand cru burgundy after a dull day. As with the previous bottle, this was marred by seriously heavy handed use of oak which had been left after the fruit had died. Drinkable, but not with much pleasure.
