Library Wine Tasting: 2007-2015 subduction Red. 2007 - this once great wine has passed it's prime. Sour nose and flat body. Did not hold up like some of the other older wines. drink now

The first sip of this wine gave a strong recollection of cherry cough syrup. But I decided to give it a chance, ignored it for awhile and tried again after it sat in the glass. Big improvement. Still had definite dark cherry but no longer syrup-like. An interesting and unique Rhone style blend from the lower Columbia Valley, though more fruit forward than its French cousins.

Showing age with a soft round feel and brick coloring. Still very drinkable

It was a nice blend and I do like blends. Nothing exceptional, but good.

Tart cherry and cranberry on the nose, red tart fruits on the palate. Soft silky tannins. Vanilla and toasty oak on the finish.
