I greatly enjoyed Vedeau's Pic St Loups in the mid '90s, so when Jancis R rated the 2007 of this wine 19/20 I dove in and ordered a case of that.
Oh dear, I'm worrying a lot about that now, and understanding the anonymity of this wine to date. Absolutely over the top blackberry. Burnt rubber, and Cologne?! Limited cherry jam. I am shocked and appalled to say that this is the chewiest wine I've ever tasted. A million miles from being Chateauneuf. Crude, bitter; horrible. I'm now desperately hoping that they've declined to put this wine forward to the world until they felt like they had it right with the '07, and/or that the divine, gentle nature of that vintage will have come to the rescue. 82 pts.

Still young. Nose was light and the wine still pretty tight but promising. May mature into something but not ready quite yet.
