Long legs, deep rich inky color with a wonderful vanilla nose. Breath deep and intoxicate with flowers in bloom. In the mouth luxuriate with creamy silk vanilla and a hint of oak. The finish runs down the middle of your tongue only to return to the lips ripping along the sides. Did I mention this is a pretty good wine? Give it a 93. Really really good wine.

This is a super-ripe, oak-influenced malbec. Sweet vanilla tannin on the nose. Lots of fruit, jammy boisenberry with tons of minerality. Smooth and creamy velvet mouthcoat with some spritz and gripping tannins. A long sweet-vanilla finish. A big wine for big pallates. 91 points. www.ikal1150.com

There is plenty of minerality here. The palate has a purity too, with plum and cherry, and a touch of something spicy and exotic. Very nice balance. On the finish, great secondary flavors of fruit and smoked cherry emerge.
