I love discovering wines like this. Aglianico grape, native to southern Italy, having a run of it in the Shenandoah Valley!! Very nice dark berry fruit on the nose. Needs some time to soften up, but if you had sausage pizza in mind, this is your wine. Nice raspberry and boysenberry flavors with some hints of licorice. Plenty of fruit and strength up front, but a little thin on the mid-palate and lots of grip with the tannins on the finish, some of which melted away after a couple of hours. Suggest 1-2 hours of decanting prior to drinking. Very interesting wine, try this one, you'll really enjoy it.

Nice earth and cedar on nose. Some dark fruit on mouth with nice acid mouthfeel. Great with a little cheese.
