Caroline's bash (Windsor): Very pale. Typical kiwi SB nose of asparagus, cut grass and gooseberry. Rasping acidity on the attack, really grabs you by the throat following on from the Leitz. Gorgeously mineral, linear and fresh. Cracking example and still in the tight youthfull stage. ****

Gooseberry, some mineral, a hint of cut grass. Slightly smokey. Smooth, smokey fruit, mineral, good length, some sweetness on the fruit on the finish. Nose rounds out with a bit of air whilst retaining a savoury, mineral edge to the finish with a slight herbiness. The most rounded of the three with the best balance between ripe fruit and minerality. ****
