Not bad. Nose shows.cinnamon and sweetness, with some ripe sweet strawberry and a touch of wet leafy matter. On the palate, acidity is a touch soft for my taste with loads of sweet strawberry and lots of pepper on a slightly hot finish.

Opened 1 hr Ruby red;interesting unusual nose of anise- more fennel than licorice, very subtle cinnamon too, later there is a distinct iron "blood" component; fruit is subdued- I suspect catching this between the fruity phase and the tertiary leathery pipe tobacco phases; body very smooth, weighty, well balanced; finish is clean, nice acidity at the end to refresh the palate. Unless you really like "old wine" I'd suggest you drink up- the joy of primary, young wine is fading fast but I think act 2 will be worth waiting for-- my last bottle in 5 yrs?

Wow. Maybe the most elegant, restrained pinot I've had from Sta. Rita Hills. Nose: Cherry fruit, oak, earth, pine needle, and spice. Palate: Very well balanced. Earthy, with cranberry. Mushrooms with nice minerality. Spicy finish without being too boozy. Very unique offering from Santa Barbara County. Thinking back, some of the other 06 Santa Barbara Pinots I've had recently have been showing restrained fruit so it may just be showing its age a little. Drink now IMO.

Another forward and indulgent Bonaccorsi wine. Aromas of black and red fruits with a nuance of candy and floral perfume. Supple mouthfeel with a ton of plush fruit, manages a nice balance and doesn't really leave you wanting for structure.

Seemed to experience some bottle shock perhaps, a rough, acerbic edge...
