Drinking nicely, a good surprise. Decent mid red fruit (strawberry and mild cherry), with balanced acid and tannins. Pleasant, even finish, medium length. Warm spices and vanilla notes, well integrated light oak profile.

Deep ruby core, narrow pale ruby rim. Quite rich, creamy red fruit, earth notes. Not overly complex but quite attractive. Medium/full bodied, creamy red-toned fruit, slightly chewy tannins but reasonably well covered by the generous fruit, good acidity, tannins do come through with a touch of "graininess" on the finish which also shows a touch of spice and coffee. Decent enough mid week drinker, not sure there's much point in holding for too much longer.

Pop and pour. Nose of menthol and bandaid, and a faint hint of funkiness. Red fruit and mint on the palate; a bit of silky tannin keeps the acidity high enough to be satisfying. No flaws, and enough character to raise this above the level of supermarket wine, but nothing exciting.
