Weekend Before Memorial Day Tasting Trip (Willamette Valley Oregon): The nose took some thought here, but I settled on fresh peaches served on a big stainless steel plate. Light apples and peaches show on the palate along with some lighter acid. A nice light peach note lingers late on the finish. The flavors are enjoyable, but a little separate, so some integration with a little bit of time may help. I feel a little silly saying that about a 3 year old white wine, but I'm standing by it. I actually picked up a few bottles a while ago with the intent of aging them as an experiment, so this is an interesting development to taste.

The acidity in this is still kickin, a very nice Muscat, highly floral, lightly sweet with that beautiful acidity backing it all up. Balanced and delicious.

Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley, Oregon (Oregon): Rich honey on the nose as well as a floral note, and some grape scents. This wine is clean with nice acid across the whole palate. The fruit is distinctly muscat and is nice and rich, with hints of apricot. There is a floral note on the palate as well. It reminds me of some white wines from the Rhone.

Nice and crisp with light acidity working with the pure muscat flavor. This wine was intended to reflect styles in Alsace, and it delivers in that respect. The fruit is flavorful with a slight musty note that makes for good contrast with rieslings produced in this style. I intend to age one of these for 5 years or so to see what happens. I'm pretty new to making this sort of assessment, but I could see it possibly becoming richer and very interesting over time.
