  Black cherry, anise and licorice with an overall medicinal aroma on the nose. Medium mouthfeel, not well integrated at this stage. Ripe and dry fruit flavors for the palate with substantial tannins. Medium length peppery finish. There are plenty of better Hunter Valley Merlots at this price point.
