Popped, vinturied and let sit in a schott burg glass for an hour. Fairly dark ruby for a pinot. Nose of tart cherries and a little pinot funk too. Palate of cherries, some spice, and some acidity to compliment the salmon and the Thai food. Although not too complex a wine, a great qpr and it would b nice on it's own as well.

Simple, some nice cherry on the nose, but acidity/tannin balance off mid palate. Finish short and unimpressive. Good to try and for an inexpensive pinot, but not case worthy.

(Mark West Pinot Noir Russian River Valley) Light medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; Pinot nose, tart cherry; tart cherry with depth, a touch of iron and good acidity; medium finish (for $10 at Bottle Barn, another amazing Pinot value)
