Nose: fruit bomb, sweet tarts, sugary nose, Taste: grape, big flavor, juicy, not my style with high residual sugar, my taste buds could have been off from a cold so I did not rate

Starr Ranch fruit is very high quality and it comes through in this effort from Kenneth Volk. Well rounded mouthfeel and finish with a very nice nose of spice and raspberry and plum. I think this wine will improve with time and at $20.00 it is well worth the price.

Better structure than the other non-pinot Volk reds that I've had; drinking well now.

Quite oaky and tannic; did not pair well with our light meal. It might have fared better with more substantial food.
