I know I just made a note on this wine with not many details, the same here again. But this wine is just hitting it stride right now, such a great wine. So balanced, nose is beautiful, long finish, just a really balanced wine. This one really works for me.

Very dark blackish purple with a dark ruby edge. Nose is oak and vanilla. Rich, full taste of tar, blackberries, sweetness dominating. Mid palate has some bitterness and depth, plum tones. Medium long finish. Very enjoyable. Stood up well to some spicy food with Andouille sausage. Don't think this was bottle variation; wine is in the eye of the beholder. I just was in a better place for this second bottle, it paired better with the food and company? who knows?

Nice fruit: slightly acidic, thus not too terribly well balanced; medium finish
