This bottle didn't show as well as the previous ones. The tartness and acidity seemed out of balance with the sour cherry fruit. Didn't get any of the spiciness or earthiness either. Just ok tonight.

Delicious again with the same sour cherry and earthy notes. Lots of acidity, but lots of fruit as well. Really enjoyed this and interested to see what the remaining bottles do.

Dark color and spicy cherries on the nose. Medium to full bodied on the palate, showing good acidity and some oak. The fruit is there as well, mostly sour cherries. Feels like there is enough going on here to give it a few years and see what it does. Perceptible tannins on the back end and a nicely persistent finish. Enjoyed this.

I should not have opened this so soon, but it was relatively cheap and I was curious. It was tightly wound, with plenty of tannin and acid on the first day, though decent with food. On the second day it softened, but didn't display much that I would classify as distinctly Vosne, though I think it might be there, underneath. Even the 87 I give partly on potential, but I think it will evolve into an 89, possibly a 90, in 7-8 years. Even the Bourgognes in '05 need time. This will be an epic vintage.

Lean all the way around. Expected more from this wine given the year/vineyard and producer. C'est dommage.
