  • Steele. The best word to describe this wine. Showing right now why Riesling is the best grape for purely expressing terroir. The nose is hard grey slate, a bouquet of flowers, with apple and lime zest. The palate just balances the acid with the sweetness of alcohol and ripe fruit. Drinking great now through 2014.

  • {ST} Pale yellow in the glass, light body. Mild fresh bouquet of wet slate, minerals, flowers, and maybe a trace of citrus. On the tongue, focused flavors of lime, granny smith apple, lemon, saline, and minerals. Moderate, dry finish of citrus, a little spice, and minerals. Overall, delicious and excellent. Also an excellent value at around 15.
