1982-1988 Meursaults (Tom's House, Palo Alto, CA): Light golden. Deep, floral nose with a sense of the ocean. Phenomenal perfume, I could have smelled this all night. Medium bodied with low to medium acidity. A mix of green apple fruit and savory, nutty flavors. Words fail me. (my 1st, group's 2nd)

1982-1988 Meursaults White Burgundies (Tom's house in Palo Alto, California): Tasted blind - light golden yellow color (one of the lightest of the line-up tonight). Outstanding bouquet without the funk that has been seen in the other Meursault tasted tonight. Excellent palate with a long finish and a nice caramel after taste. Memorable! Group's #2 (my #1) – 52 pts – 3/2/2/0

Rich, buttery, heady scents of old school Meursault. There are notes of almond and preserved lemon as well. It breathes to show a little toast and white mushroom. In the mouth the broad flavours are underpinned by some still quite prevalent and minerally acidity and it finishes leaving an imprint of fruit rind and a little earth.

(Domaine Michelot-Buisson Meursault 1er Cru Charmes) Group's #3 (my #6) – 61 pts; 2, 1, 1, 2 – bright canary yellow color; notions of white and dark chocolate on the nose, with hints of sherry and Marsala; tasty, solid, mature palate with mineral notes, a little light toward medium-plus finish

1982-1988 Meursaults (Bi-weekly group blind tasting at Tom's House): Groups #2, my #7 - blindtasted
Uninteresting nose of honey and yeast.
No memorable flavors but a acidic finish that reminds me of vomit. Long finish.

Rich and honeyed with a whiff of toast and some lovely peach and pear fruits. Still very much alive with good volume and crisp acidity.
