  I bought this to make a mushroom sauce for grilled lamb but this is also an excellent QPR for drinking. The color is a dense, nearly opaque ruby red. It has an intense fruity nose with oak and a hint of earth. On the palate there is cherry and vanilla with very firm tannins. Acidity is good with a touch of heat on the medium length finish. Good structure.
