Aromas of ripe apple, mineral and a little tropical fruit. Nicely balanced with good richness, but it seems like this is starting to fade and is showing some oxidization. Not premox -- one shouldn't expect too much longevity out of a 2006 Marsannay.

Medium yellow. Obvious pineapple, butterscotch, and oak aromatics. Rich and full, yet despite the heft, this nimbly avoids being too soft. As an avowed wood hater, I must admit that its effect is admirably restrained here. All of this said, it is still a rather loosely knit, California style without much cut or minerality. Well made wine though.
