texturally a pleasure, alive with acid and rich with caramelized sugar tones, so perfectly balanced structurally, but even with a two hour decant still not the complexity of flavor that I would have hoped for. overwhelming sense of lime candy, not a fresh lime or a lime blossom, but a confected, almost artificial flavor, that dominates any other flavors, except the savory dill/firne that comes from age

Selosse Lieux Dits Part 1-The Whites: Stunning medium yellow color for a 31 year old wine. No botrytis here but a bit of older Riesling perfume. Pure ripe yellow apple and spice. Less sweet than many of today's Spätleses. Discrete and really excellent.
More peach and guava the second night, but still just as fresh.

Lovely balance and acidity, still plenty of life ahead. But at this stage, it is a wine to be drink on its own, or with a dish that is not overly sweet. Cellared since original release.

Bonham's and Butterfield Pre-auction tasting (San Francisco, CA): Yellow-gold color; sulfur, petrol; lovely balanced palate, complex with great acidity, peach, nectarine. Wonderful. 93
