I was a little disappointed at first. This is 17 years old and I expected more....but it did come through the 2nd day and it was like a different wine. Yes, I decanted the first time, but put it back in the wine fridge and was much better the next night. In either case, open this now if you have it and don't wait any longer. It was very earthy, lots of tannins, long legs...very dark burgundy colors. Drink it now.

($100) Jess Jackson Three Terroirs Tasting: 59% Cabernet Franc, the balance is Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Smoky, old world nose, but in comparison to the St. Emilion, more roasted earth and sauna aromas. Cedar and dry herb. Slightly fuller bodied than the St. Emilion and more lush. Not obvious to me that this is Cabernet Franc. Way over priced.

Fully mature. Tannins are smoothed out with real fruit presence
