  • Wow, I can't even believe my previous note based on this bottle. Not sure if it's time or difference in bottle, but this bottle is banging! Dense coloring with garnet at the edges. The aroma of of freshly tilled soil is jumping from the glass, and accented by dark and dark red fruit, green bell pepper, and mineral. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of dark and dark red fruit, mineral, and leathery dried spices. For a non-Italian sangiovese, I have to say I'm impressed.

  • Very dark coloring with some ruby at the edges. Nose of dried dark fruits, soil, oak, and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied, medium finish, and pretty good acidity, with flavors of dark fruit, mineral, oak, and alcohol. Mid-palate is a bit hollow, too much oak for me, and the spiking heat is a problem for me. Saving a glass to revisit tomorrow, but this is not really coming together for me tonight. I wouldn't guess this as sangiovese blind in a million years—color, nose, flavor are closer to corvina, monastrell, or cabernet sauvignon, IMO. The tannins are pretty serious and that last glass started to show a little red fruit, so I'm saving a glass to revisit tomorrow and see what's up. Will revise if noteworthy.
Day 2: tannins softened, but flavor profile pretty much the same (dried dark fruits; no red), including the oak and alcohol. Have enjoyed this producer prior, but this is not a re-buy for me. Going to leave my other bottle for a year or two and revisit.

  • This was a suggestion from Tim at winelibrary.com. I really enjoyed this wine. I was skeptical because I dont think "Argentina" and "Sangiovese".

However I very happy when I received my shipment. I enjoyed how smooth it went down and no tannin after taste.

I plan to order more bottles.

  • Tightly structured with a nose of pepper, herbs and chocolate. A super glass of italien type of Sangiovese.

  • Burnt red in color. Medium body on the palate. Not much in aromatics. Very juicy flavors of cherry and strawberry. Sweet tannins and a soft finish. There is something I like about this, just can't put my finger on it.
