  • this is an old world style Malbec that has developed a Bordeaux's estery nose. It is purply-garnet with an orangy rim. The wine is still bright and tart with red fruit flavors and acid just edging out the modest tannins. In general it tastes more like grapes skins than oak.

I like it -- it is a great NW take on an OW style. It is food wine for sure, but drinks juuuuust fine on its own too.

drink it now but let it decant for a while. Or keep it -- I could see this wine getting better over 5 years if it doesn't get too much barnyard nose.
